Privacy and policies
We ask clients to trust us with sensitive information, so we aim to be just as clear about how we treat the information you give us here.
Privacy notice
Buccaneer Ventures Ltd ("we", "us") is the controller of the personal data described in this notice. We are registered in England and Wales. You can contact us about privacy at privacy@buccaneerventuresinc.co.uk or by writing to our Croydon office.
What we collect
- Details you give us through our forms, by email or by phone: your name, job title, organisation, contact details and the content of your enquiry.
- Information needed to deliver an engagement, such as the names and business contact details of colleagues we work with.
- Basic technical information your browser sends when you visit this site, such as your IP address, held only in server logs.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange any meeting or NDA you ask for. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To deliver services under a contract with your organisation.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
Client commercial data
Commercial data shared during an engagement is governed by the NDA and engagement letter agreed with your organisation. It is held in access-controlled workspaces hosted in the UK, seen only by the named engagement team, and returned or securely deleted at the end of the engagement.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 24 months. Engagement records are kept for six years after the engagement ends, in line with our legal and accounting obligations.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Contact us using the details above. If you are unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Modern slavery statement
We have zero tolerance for modern slavery and human trafficking in our own business and in the supply chains we help our clients manage.
- We assess modern slavery risk as part of supplier selection in every tender we run for clients.
- Our supplier code of conduct requires suppliers to respect workers’ rights and to pass the same requirement down their own supply chains.
- Our team is trained to recognise the signs of modern slavery and to escalate concerns.
This statement is reviewed every year and approved by our directors.
Accessibility
We want this website to be usable by everyone. It is designed to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, including keyboard navigation, sufficient colour contrast, descriptive text for images and support for reduced motion settings.
If you find something that is difficult to use, please email hello@buccaneerventuresinc.co.uk or call 020 7946 0321 and we will help, and fix it.
